  • The council chairman warned against unauthorized permanent structures within the wood market.
Ogorugba gave the assurance when the leadership of the association paid him a courtesy visit at his office to present requests aimed at improving the operations of the market and addressing challenges affecting its members.
The council chairman said his administration would carefully consider the association’s requests based on available resources, noting that the welfare of traders and the development of markets across the local government remain central to his administration’s agenda.
He, however, expressed concern over the erection of permanent structures without the approval of the council, describing the practice as unacceptable.
Ogorugba warned that the local government would not condone illegal developments capable of disrupting the planned layout and smooth operation of the market.
He urged traders and other market users to comply with the council’s regulations and partner with the local government in maintaining a safe, orderly, and business-friendly environment.
