A political support group, Friends of Hiliary (FOH), has called on residents of Delta North Senatorial District to move beyond the legal battle instituted by Senator Ned Nwoko over the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial primary, following the dismissal of his suit by the Federal High Court.
The group said the court’s decision to strike out the case, should bring an end to the dispute and allow political leaders and constituents to focus on addressing the district’s developmental challenges.
A statement issued by the group, said Delta North has lost valuable time to political disagreements and should now concentrate on rebuilding the district and improving the welfare of the people.
According to the group, continued political contests would only distract from the urgent need for quality representation and sustainable development.
“The issues confronting our people are far too serious for us to continue dwelling on a suit that has already been struck out by the court,” the statement read.

FOH urged political actors across party lines to put aside their differences and work together in the interest of the senatorial district, stressing that the welfare of the people should take precedence over personal political ambitions.
The group said the court’s ruling presents an opportunity to close the chapter on the APC primary dispute and redirect attention to attracting development projects, improving representation and advancing the interests of Delta North at the national level.
It also reaffirmed its support for Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, expressing confidence in his ability to provide leadership and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver democratic dividends to the people of the senatorial district.
The statement comes after the Federal High Court dismissed Senator Nwoko’s suit challenging the outcome of the APC senatorial primary that produced Okowa, bringing the legal contest over the party’s ticket to an end, subject to any further appeal.
