Veteran Nigerian entertainer and social commentator, Charly Boy has opened up about a painful chapter of his family’s history, claiming he believes he was responsible for the deaths of his three younger brothers.

The controversial entertainer made the startling revelation during an interview with News Central TV, while discussing his memoir, 999, and some of the personal experiences that shaped his life.
Charly Boy explained that his mother had three sons after him, but none of them survived.
Reflecting on the family tragedy, he said he had come to believe that his own birth may have been connected to their deaths.
“My mother had three other boys after me, but I think that I killed all of them. I would say I am responsible for their deaths,” he said.
Charly Boy, however, did not provide specific details explaining how he believed he was responsible for the deaths of his younger siblings.
The entertainer also recounted the unusual circumstances surrounding his birth, revealing that his mother reportedly carried him for approximately 11 months before he was born.

According to him, his mother was advised to undergo a Caesarean section but rejected the procedure because she wanted to deliver him naturally.
He described the circumstances surrounding his birth as difficult and suggested that the experience became an important part of the personal history explored in his memoir.
The self-styled Area Fada said his memoir goes beyond the public image many Nigerians associate with him, documenting difficult experiences, family events and other moments that influenced his personality and life journey.
