Fashion designer Yomi Casual has penned an emotional tribute to his longtime friend and actor Alexx Ekubo, who passed away in May.
Yomi Casual described Alexx as more than a friend, calling him a brother with whom he shared over 15 years of friendship filled with memories, challenges, successes, and personal growth.
The designer praised the late actor’s kindness, loyalty, and selflessness, noting that Alexx was always supportive and dependable whenever he was needed.
According to Yomi, their bond was admired by many because of its sincerity and strength. He revealed that despite occasional disagreements, they always resolved their differences and remained united.
He wrote that people often misunderstood their close friendship and created stories about them, but they remained committed to the brotherhood they shared.

Expressing his pain, Yomi Casual said he regretted not being with Alexx during his final days, adding that he would have done everything possible to be by his side if he had known their time together was ending.
He also said he understood why Alexx chose to keep his illness private, adding that the actor handled his struggles with dignity and strength.
Yomi remembered their conversations, jokes, business discussions, arguments, and moments together, promising that Alexx’s memory would remain with him forever.
He concluded by referring to Alexx as the brother he chose and prayed for him to rest peacefully.
