The Independent National Electoral Commission has uploaded 3,292 polling unit results from the 2026 Osun State governorship election to its Result Viewing Portal, IReV, as the collation of results enters its final stage.
The figure represents 87.48 per cent of the 3,763 polling units expected to submit results from Saturday’s election.
Checks on the INEC portal at about 9:42pm showed that the number of uploaded results had risen from 3,119, representing 82.89 per cent, recorded earlier in the evening.
The latest update indicates that 471 polling unit results were still outstanding on the portal as of the time of the check.
According to the portal, the most recent upload was recorded at 8:48:08pm from polling unit 29/03/11/007 in Ife North Local Government Area.
The steady uploads came as election officials continued the collation process across Osun State’s 30 local government areas.
The IReV platform allows members of the public, political parties, observers and other stakeholders to monitor polling unit-level results uploaded by INEC, providing greater visibility into the result transmission process.
The Osun governorship election has attracted significant attention as incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party seeks another term in office.

Adeleke is facing a major challenge from the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, while the African Democratic Congress candidate, Najeem Salaam, and candidates from other political parties are also competing for the governorship.
With more than 87 per cent of the expected polling unit results uploaded, attention is now shifting to the completion of the remaining uploads and the official collation and declaration of the final result by INEC.
The outcome of the election is expected to determine who will govern Osun State for the next four years, amid close monitoring by political parties, observers and residents across the state.
