The council also approved N627.695 million for the construction of road networks, drainage systems, culverts and other internal infrastructure at the Mega Science and Technical Secondary School in Hong.

In the agricultural sector, the council approved N2.198 billion for the procurement of 36,300 bags of assorted fertilisers to support dry-season farming and encourage year-round agricultural production across the state.

The financial value of the five major project approvals amounts to N5,718,630,781.24.

In addition to the financial approvals, the council considered and approved a memo presented by the Ministry of Mineral Resources concerning mining licensing in the state.

The latest decisions underscore the Fintiri administration’s emphasis on infrastructure development, education, agriculture, security and the responsible development of Adamawa’s solid mineral resources.

The government said the measures are aimed at strengthening public institutions, supporting farmers, improving security infrastructure and promoting sustainable economic development across the state.
