Evicted Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate Sultex has reignited debate over the public voting system after questioning why he was sent out of the reality show while contestants he believes have contributed less to the drama remain in the house.

Speaking in a post-eviction interview with Pulse, Sultex specifically mentioned Ricky, Nomy and Bells, expressing disbelief that they survived while his own BBNaija journey came to an end.

“How will some housemates like Ricky, Nomy, and Bells still be on the show while I was evicted? What are they doing there? What are they bringing to the show? How is that even possible? Well, it is all in the past now,” he said.

His comments have opened another conversation among fans over whether BBNaija viewers vote based primarily on entertainment value, personality, popularity, relationships or strategic gameplay.

Sultex’s eviction came after a season marked by several heated confrontations and clashes among the housemates, making his comments particularly controversial.

One of the most notable incidents involving Sultex was his confrontation with Yusuf, during which tensions escalated and Sultex threatened to get people to “deal” with Yusuf in Lagos.

However, speaking after his eviction, Sultex appeared to distance himself from any intention of taking the disagreement beyond the Big Brother house, describing his statement as something he said “in the heat of the moment.”

He clarified that he had no plans to fight Yusuf outside the reality show.

The Sultex-Yusuf confrontation was not the only source of tension in the house this season, as disagreements, arguments and clashes have repeatedly tested relationships among the contestants.

The intense atmosphere has seen housemates confront one another over nominations, perceived disrespect, strategy, relationships and individual behaviour, with some disagreements spilling into heated verbal exchanges.

The nomination process itself has also become a major source of controversy.

In Week Six, Biggie cancelled an earlier nomination and save exercise after housemates were accused of discussing nominations and breaching the rules. The decision left 15 housemates facing possible eviction, while Head of House Abi and Most Influential Player Sheba were protected.

The development has further intensified questions about strategy and fairness inside the house, particularly as contestants attempt to secure their places in the competition.

Sultex’s latest comments could therefore add another layer to the already heated debate surrounding who deserves to remain in the show.

The evicted housemate’s argument essentially raises a question many BBNaija fans regularly debate: does a housemate deserve to stay because they are entertaining, because they are strategic, because they are popular, or simply because they have stronger support from viewers?

With evictions determined by public votes, Sultex’s opinion ultimately cannot change the result. But his decision to name Ricky, Nomy and Bells has ensured that the debate over who is actually “bringing something” to the Season 11 house is unlikely to disappear anytime soon.

As the competition enters another crucial stage, the remaining housemates will have to navigate not only the eviction battle but also the growing tensions, alliances, rivalries and confrontations that have come to define the season.

And with 15 contestants currently vulnerable to eviction, the question now is no longer just who is entertaining enough to survive.
