Adeleke made the appeal in a post on X on Saturday evening amid concerns over alleged attempts by some political actors to disrupt or take control of collation centres across the state.
The governor urged Tinubu to direct the heads of the security agencies involved in the election to maintain professionalism, protect residents and safeguard the integrity of the electoral process.
According to Adeleke, the large deployment of security personnel for the election should be used to guarantee a peaceful collation process and ensure that the final result reflects the choice of Osun voters.
He said: “It is imperative that you use your good office to issue a clear warning to the heads of security agencies deployed to protect the good people of Osun State and safeguard the integrity of the electoral process.”
Adeleke described reports of alleged moves to disrupt collation centres as concerning and unacceptable, stressing that the votes already cast by residents must not be compromised during the final stages of the election.
He further called on the President to reaffirm the Federal Government’s commitment to ensuring that every valid vote counts.
“I therefore implore you to reiterate the commitment made to the people of Osun State that their votes will count and that the outcome of this election will reflect their genuine choice,” he said.
The governor specifically mentioned the police, Department of State Services, the army and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, urging them to remain neutral and professional throughout the collation process.
He also called on the Independent National Electoral Commission to receive the necessary support to complete the collation and declare a credible and transparent result.
“The Nigeria Police, DSS, Nigerian Army, NSCDC and other security agencies must strictly adhere to this directive, while INEC must be given every necessary support to conclude the process and deliver a credible and transparent outcome,” Adeleke said.
While thanking Osun residents for their turnout during the election, Adeleke urged voters and political supporters to remain peaceful and law-abiding as results move from polling units to wards and local government collation centres.

He also appealed to security agencies to remain vigilant and ensure that the collation process is not disrupted.
Adeleke said the people of Osun had expressed their choice through the ballot and insisted that their votes must be respected.
“The people of Osun State have spoken with one voice, and their voices must be heard. Their votes must be protected, and their mandate must be respected,” he said.
The appeal comes as attention shifts from voting to the collation of results, with political parties and their supporters closely monitoring proceedings across the state.
