A House of Assembly hopeful for Ughelli North Constituency II, Mr. Umukoro Oghenevwarhe, has officially obtained the nomination form of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

The Uwheru-born politician completed the process in the presence of Ward 9 party leaders and a large crowd of supporters, describing his move as part of a broader effort to deepen inclusive politics and strengthen grassroots participation in the constituency.
Addressing supporters shortly after, Oghenevwarhe said his ambition is driven by a commitment to deliver representation that prioritises the needs and voices of the people.
“I have taken this step with a firm commitment to provide effective, people-oriented representation for Ughelli North Constituency II.
“Our goal is to ensure leadership that is responsive and aligned with the expectations of the people,” he said.
He pointed to the growing support from constituents and party members as a reflection of public desire for accountable leadership and a more inclusive political process.

The aspirant also expressed confidence in the NDC’s chances in the 2027 elections, pledging to work with party stakeholders to secure victory across all levels.
“We are witnessing the beginning of a new political era. It is time for fresh ideas and new leadership. Together, we will mobilise for success, from the presidency to the state House of Assembly,” he added.
Oghenevwarhe is seeking to represent Ughelli North Constituency II, currently held by a lawmaker from his Uwheru community, insisting that the constituency is due for a renewed legislative focus anchored on the aspirations of its people.
