The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has rejected claims alleging that some aspirants are being denied the opportunity to purchase nomination forms.
Reacting to the claims on Thursday, the party’s state Publicity Secretary, Valentine Onojeghuo, described the allegation as false and intended to create unnecessary tension within the party.
He stated that the leadership of the party has not issued any directive restricting the sale of nomination forms to aspirants, adding that the process remains open, transparent, and in line with laid-down procedures.
Onojeghuo explained that the designated committee handling the distribution of forms is actively working at the state secretariat, ensuring that all interested aspirants are duly attended to without discrimination, in compliance with guidelines from the National Working Committee.
He noted that the APC in Delta State remains committed to internal democracy and fairness, insisting that its processes have been conducted in an orderly and credible manner.

The party spokesperson further alleged that those spreading the claims are motivated by personal political interests and are attempting to sow discord among party members.
He warned that such misinformation could erode trust and unity within the party, stressing that the leadership would not allow any individual or group to derail its preparations for the elections.
The APC confirmed that the sale of nomination forms is still ongoing and will continue until May 4, 2026, as stipulated in the party’s timetable.
Aspirants were advised to disregard the rumours and proceed to the party secretariat to obtain and complete their forms before the deadline.
Reaffirming its stance, the party urged members and the public to depend only on verified information from official APC sources, assuring them of a free, fair, and transparent nomination process.
