Veteran Nollywood actor Owolabi Ajasa has debunked viral reports claiming he is dead, assuring fans that he is alive, healthy, and in good spirits.
The rumour gained traction on social media after a fake obituary poster announcing the actor’s death began circulating online.
Reacting in a video shared on his Instagram page, Ajasa, popularly known for his memorable police roles and the catchphrase, “Ta lo pa chief?”, dismissed the false reports.
“I’m still much alive and in good health,” the actor said.
Condemning those behind the fake obituary, he added: “To everyone posting my obituary around, I’m saying back to the sender—to you and your family.”
Addressing his fans in Nigeria and abroad, Ajasa reiterated that there was no cause for concern.

“My name still remains Owolabi Ajasa, your Nollywood police officer. I want to tell all my fans both in Nigeria and abroad that I’m still much alive. I’m alive, hale and hearty. There’s nothing wrong with me,” he said.
His video has since reassured fans, many of whom took to social media to express relief and condemn the spread of false death rumours involving public figures.
