The United States has launched another round of airstrikes on Iranian military targets, hitting strategic surveillance, air defence and missile facilities as hostilities between Washington and Tehran continue to intensify.
The latest offensive, carried out late on July 18, marked the eighth consecutive night of US military operations against Iranian-linked targets, according to the US Central Command (CENTCOM).
CENTCOM said the strikes focused on coastal surveillance installations, air defence systems, maritime capabilities, and missile and drone storage facilities believed to support Iran’s military operations.

The command also confirmed that the operation targeted elements of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which US officials blamed for attacks on American service members in Jordan on July 17.
Amid the escalating conflict, CENTCOM disclosed that more than 50,000 US military personnel remain stationed across the Middle East, stressing that the forces are “highly vigilant, focused, lethal, and ready” to respond to any further threats.
The latest military action highlights the worsening confrontation between the United States and Iran, with analysts warning that continued exchanges could heighten instability across the region and increase the risk of a broader conflict.
