The President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), Musa Nimrod, has congratulated Isaiah Benjamin on his re-election as the national president of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN).
Nimrod, who is also a patron of SWAN, conveyed his congratulations in a statement dated August 30, 2026, and made available to sports writers in Kaduna.
He described Benjamin’s re-election during the association’s national elections held on Friday, August 28, 2026, in Kaduna, as a clear demonstration of the trust and confidence members have in his leadership, vision and commitment to the advancement of sports journalism in Nigeria.
The NVBF president noted that Benjamin’s first term laid what he described as a solid foundation for unity, professionalism and advocacy among sports journalists across the country.

According to him, the renewed mandate provides an opportunity for the SWAN leadership to consolidate on the achievements recorded during the first tenure and further advance the association.
Nimrod assured Benjamin and the newly elected executives of his continued support as patron of the association, particularly in efforts aimed at improving members’ welfare, promoting ethical standards and strengthening the image of Nigerian sports journalism.
Nimrod wished the SWAN president and his executive members a peaceful, impactful and successful tenure.
