The disturbing scenes have sparked widespread outrage, with Nigerians demanding that the man be identified and brought before the appropriate authorities.
Reacting to the viral video, the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) said it has commenced efforts to identify and locate the alleged perpetrator.

The agency said it is working with relevant security agencies to track down the man and prosecute him in accordance with the law if he is found responsible.
NAPTIP stressed that child abuse would not be tolerated and appealed to anyone with information that could assist in identifying or locating the man to come forward.

The agency reaffirmed its commitment to protecting children and ensuring that people responsible for abusing vulnerable minors are brought to justice.
