The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has launched an investigation into the disappearance of a woman identified as Ms Eunice Ameh, who was reportedly declared missing after leaving her workplace in Abuja.
Police authorities disclosed that the case was officially reported at the Maitama Police Division on May 7, 2026, at about 6:30 p.m. by a colleague, Mr Zachariah, who works in the same organisation as the missing woman.
According to the police, Ms Ameh was last seen on May 6, 2026, at about 5:40 p.m. after leaving her office to return home. Since then, her whereabouts have remained unknown.
In a statement issued on Friday, the spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, Josephine Adeh, said the Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, had directed an immediate and thorough investigation into the incident.
“Upon receipt of the report, the Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, ordered a detailed investigation into the matter,” the statement noted.

The command appealed to members of the public to provide any useful information that could assist investigators in locating the missing woman. Residents were urged to report to the nearest police station or contact the FCT Police Command through its spokesperson.
