Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has approved additional responsibilities for two commissioners after the resignation of members of the Delta State Executive Council.
Under the new arrangement, Pat Ajudua, who currently heads the Ministry of Women Affairs, Community and Social Development, will also supervise the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Community Support Services and Girl Child Development.
Similarly, Godknows Angele has been assigned oversight of the Ministry of Youth Development in addition to his existing role as Commissioner for Housing.
The changes were disclosed in a statement released on Friday by Charles Aniagwu.
According to the statement, the temporary portfolio adjustments followed the resignation of Orode Uduaghan, who previously headed the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Community Support Services and Girl Child Development, and ThankGod Harry Trakiriowei, the former Commissioner for Youth Development.

The outgoing commissioners reportedly stepped down from the cabinet to pursue legislative ambitions ahead of the 2027 general elections, with both preparing to contest seats in the Delta State House of Assembly.
Governor Oborevwori commended the former cabinet members for their contributions to the state government and wished them success in their political pursuits.
The newly assigned responsibilities are expected to remain in effect pending further decisions by the Delta State Government.
