The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has announced the arrival of a baby girl with his wife, Olori Oluwatosin, just months after welcoming twin princes with another of his wives, Olori Mariam Ajibola.
The monarch made the announcement on Sunday, August 2, 2026, in a post shared on his official Facebook page, where he expressed gratitude to God for the safe delivery of the royal princess.
According to the Ooni, both Olori Oluwatosin and the newborn are in excellent health.
Celebrating the latest addition to the royal household, the monarch wrote:
“To God Almighty be all the glory for his unfailing grace and the precious gift of new life.
“Hearty congratulations to the entire House of Oduduwa for the blessed arrival of a Royal Princess through Olori Oluwatosin.
“May the Almighty preserve this divine gift and cause her to flourish in wisdom, grace, and honour.
“We are pleased to share that both Olori Oluwatosin and the Royal Princess are in excellent health.”
The birth comes roughly three months after the monarch announced the arrival of twin boys with Olori Mariam Ajibola.
In May, the Ooni had taken to Facebook to celebrate the birth of the twins, expressing appreciation to God and confirming that the mother and children were doing well.

The latest arrival adds another member to the Ooni’s growing royal household.
The monarch’s family structure has attracted considerable public attention over the years, particularly following the end of his marriage to Olori Naomi.
The Ooni subsequently married several wives in 2022, including Mariam Anako, Elizabeth Akinmuda, Tobiloba Phillips, Ashley Adegoke, Ronke Ademiluyi and Temitope Adesegun.
During his 48th birthday and seventh coronation anniversary celebrations, Oba Ogunwusi explained that his marriages were influenced by the traditional heritage of Ile-Ife.
He said he had attempted to make some changes but was unable to completely depart from certain traditions associated with the ancient kingdom.
With the arrival of the baby girl, the Ooni and Olori Oluwatosin have welcomed another royal addition to the House of Oduduwa.
