Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo on Monday, assured residents that his administration will continue to work in line with the mandate given to it by the people to promote the state’s development.

He gave the assurance during visits to party members in Egor and Oredo Local Government Areas as part of efforts to strengthen the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The governor, accompanied by APC leaders and top government officials, visited several locations to interact with party faithful and mobilise support for the party’s candidates in the forthcoming elections.
In Egor Local Government Area, the team visited Ogida Barracks Police Training School and the Textile Mill, where party members from the 10 wards participated in the engagement.
In Oredo, the delegation visited Garrick Memorial College, Edokpolor Grammar School and Uwa Primary School, where the governor addressed party members and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the development of the state.
Okpebholo thanked residents of Egor and Oredo for their support and votes for the APC candidates in the recently concluded local government elections.

He urged them to sustain the support in the 2027 general elections by voting for APC candidates contesting for seats in the House of Representatives, Senate and Edo State House of Assembly across the state’s three senatorial districts.
“The turn out today in all the places visited in Egor and Oredo despite the rain speaks volumes of the love for the party and all our candidates in the general election including President Bola Tinubu.
“We would continue to work according to the mandate Edo people gave to us. We would work for the growth and development of the state and the party.
“I am standing in the gap for President Tinubu and know we are all committed to ensuring we deliver 2.5 million votes for his re-election in 2027,” the governor said.
On the condition of roads across the state, Governor Okpebholo said his administration is working to repair bad roads inherited from previous governments and ensure that roads were motorable.
“The bad roads in the state didn’t happen today, but the roads have been there before we came to power but we are working to ensure all the bad roads are fixed.
“We would work to ensure all roads in the State are motorable. This is the reason why you voted for us,” the governor said.
The Deputy Governor, Dennis Idahosa, thanked party members for their continued support and urged them to vote for APC candidates in the 2027 general elections to ensure the party’s victory.
The state APC Chairman, Mr. Jarrett Tenebe, also commended party members for their support for the party and the governor.
Tenebe urged them to support Okpebholo in his efforts to deliver 2.5 million votes for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.
“We did it before during the local government elections where we gathered 2,158,600 votes. This has shown that the 2.5 million votes is very achievable. The governor is a party man and the party is doing well,” he said.
The chairmen of Egor and Oredo Local Government Areas, Osaro Eribo and Gabriel Iduseri, respectively, also appealed to residents to sustain their support for the APC, its candidates and President Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
