The Delta State Governorship Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru, has extended his condolences to the party’s vice presidential candidate, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, following the death of his mother, Dame Ezzine Mary Oduah Amaechi.
In a statement issued through his media aide, Ogboru described the passing of the family matriarch as a painful loss, not only to the Amaechi family but also to Rivers State and the nation, noting that she lived a life marked by dignity, sacrifice and lasting impact.
He said he received news of her demise with profound sadness, adding that Dame Amaechi’s life was defined by values that would continue to inspire generations.
According to him, the death of a mother is an irreplaceable loss, especially at a time when her love, prayers and wise counsel remain invaluable to her family. He urged the former Rivers State governor and his loved ones to draw strength from the enduring legacy she left behind.

Ogboru further described the late Dame Amaechi as a devoted mother whose unwavering commitment to her family contributed immensely to the lives of those around her.
The ADC governorship candidate also called on members of the party across the country to stand in solidarity with Amaechi and his family by offering prayers and support as they navigate the period of mourning.
While praying for the peaceful repose of Dame Ezzine Mary Oduah Amaechi’s soul, Ogboru asked God to grant Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, the entire Amaechi family and all loved ones the strength and fortitude to bear the painful loss. He expressed confidence that the memories of her exemplary life would remain a lasting source of comfort.
