Leeds United boosted their survival hopes in the Premier League with a commanding 3-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Elland Road on Saturday.

The hosts made a blistering start, taking the lead in the 18th minute through James Justin, who scored with a spectacular overhead kick after Wolves failed to deal with a corner.

Just 85 seconds later, Noah Okafor doubled Leeds’ advantage, finishing calmly at the back post from a precise cross by Brenden Aaronson.

Leeds dominated early proceedings but saw their intensity dip after the break, allowing Wolves brief moments of pressure.

However, the visitors struggled to create clear chances, with goalkeeper Karl Darlow producing a key save to deny a header from Ladislav Krejci.

The victory was sealed deep into stoppage time when Dominic Calvert-Lewin converted a penalty to make it 3-0 and cap a comfortable afternoon for Daniel Farke’s side.

The result lifts Leeds to 39 points—eight clear of the relegation zone—and puts them firmly on course to retain their top-flight status.

Meanwhile, Wolves remain rooted to the bottom and face almost certain relegation, which could be confirmed if results elsewhere do not go their way.

Manager Daniel Farke will take confidence from back-to-back league wins as Leeds continue their strong run following the international break.

In contrast, Wolves boss Rob Edwards faces an uphill battle, with his side lacking the attacking edge needed to mount a late survival push.

Leeds next travel to face Bournemouth as they aim to secure safety mathematically, while Wolves must win their upcoming fixture to delay an increasingly inevitable drop to the Championship.
