Atletico Madrid’s latest signings, English midfielder Conor Gallagher and Argentine striker Julian Alvarez, have injected fresh energy into the squad, according to coach Diego Simeone. Speaking after a commanding 3-0 win over Valencia on Sunday, Simeone highlighted the impact of his new players.
Gallagher, who made the switch from Chelsea this summer, scored his first LaLiga goal in the victory. Simeone praised Gallagher’s enthusiasm and contributions, stating, “He came with a lot of enthusiasm, and we needed that kind of player in midfield because he makes us better. He does not stop giving his best in every game situation.”

Simeone expressed relief and excitement, saying, “We all needed him to score a goal to feel more relaxed and connected. Hopefully, this will be the first of many. He lives for these moments and appears as he always does at the least expected time.”
The Atletico manager also noted the positive integration of other new signings, including Robin Le Normand and Alexander Sorloth. “The squad is gelling very well,” Simeone said. “The new players are fitting in nicely, allowing us to compete at the high level we aspire to.”
With Gallagher and Alvarez making an immediate impact, Atletico Madrid fans are eagerly anticipating how these new additions will help the team in their pursuit of LaLiga glory this season.
