Recent gruesome attack on a mother and her little daughter in Adamawa state, has become a source of nightmare to the State Police Command.
The said attack which occurred along Kadamti village in Numan local government area of the state, was said to have led to the killing of the little baby.
The scenario which almost led to the breach of peace in the community, according to the Command, was necessitated by suspected herders.
Piqued by the development, the State Commissioner of Police, Sikiru Akande, who not only yesterday condemned the attack, vowed to work round the clock to bring the perpetrators to book.
While the little girl was said to have been gruesomely murdered, her mother, according to The Trumpet findings, was left with various degree of injuries.
The commissioner in a press statement made available to media practitioners, through the command’s image maker, Sulaiman Nguroje, was observed to have ordered for the immediate arrest of the suspects.
More to his directives, a discreet investigation into the matter with a view to ensuring peace and justice, according to him, should urgently be carried out by the Command.

He warned that attacks on innocent souls would no longer be tolerated under any guise.
The Command, as made known by him, holds the lives of the citizens sacrosanct. As such, unwarranted attitude by criminal elements would be strictly treated in accordance with extant laws.
While soliciting for calmness, the Command, he said, is working tirelessly round the clocks to detect and apprehend the culprits.
He passionately beckoned at the public to always reach out to the Command and other security agencies with genuine information about the hideouts of hoodlums in the state.
He added that the command on its part is committed to the protection of the lives and properties of the people of the state.
