The 2023 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Governorship candidate in Kaduna State, Hon. Isah Muhammad Ashiru has lamented increased waves of criminality in the state.
In a statement by his Special Adviser (Media & Publicity), Shuaibu Gimi, he said the insecurity in Kaduna State required urgent attention and therefore assured that he would adopt a more effective approach to the problem.
He said the current top-bottom strategy of the present State Government and the sack of traditional rulers, which resulted in the existence of vast ungoverned areas, are some of the factors that have continued to cause the deterioration of security in Kaduna State.

“The ex-lawmaker, who participated in the dialogue virtually as he is currently in Saudi Arabia on a lesser pilgrimage, further expressed his resolve to revamp agriculture through the revival of Agricultural Development Projects and re-introduction of extension services, adding that the agrarian nature of Kaduna State calls for greater attention to agriculture as the biggest employer of labour,” he said
He further lamented the poor economic condition of the majority of the people, adding that the PDP government in Kaduna State would introduce robust programmes for women and youths to make them productive and self-reliant.
The PDP Gubernatorial Candidate also explained that Kaduna State Government would maintain a strong partnership with Non-Governmental Organizations, Civil Society Organizations and some other critical development partners for the design and implementation of programmes for the meaningful development of the state.
“Health as well as education, science and technology would, according to Ashiru, be given maximum attention for the purpose of enhancing the well-being of the people and accelerating development in the state as a lot of measures would be adopted to tackle the problems in the two sectors. Gubernatorial candidates of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and All Progressives Congress (APC), Senators Sulaiman Usman Hunkuyi and Uba Sani, respectively, attended the dialogue,” he revealed.
