Fayose, brother of former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, questioned the priorities of political groups that invest in campaign vehicles and mobilisation materials without making adequate provisions for emergency medical assistance.
In a video shared on his official Instagram page on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, Fayose expressed concern about how injured supporters would be transported to hospitals following road accidents involving campaign buses.
He argued that political movements should consider the safety of their members by ensuring access to ambulances and other emergency response services during campaign activities.
“Now, see our people, they carry money buy campaign buses, campaign jeeps, campaign everything. But they forgot to buy ambulance. They forgot to put ambulance on our highway,” he said.
‘No Ambulance To Take Supporters’
The social commentator also faulted the lack of adequate highway rescue arrangements, suggesting that the absence of emergency services could make it more difficult for accident victims to receive prompt medical attention.
Fayose said the reported accident involving the City Boy Movement bus has raised questions about the arrangements in place to assist supporters in the event of an emergency.
“So, now, wey campaign buses don get accident, there is no ambulance to take supporters wey dey inside campaign buses to hospital. No be mumu be that,” he added.
He further expressed frustration over what he described as misplaced priorities in Nigeria’s political landscape, urging citizens to pay closer attention to issues affecting public welfare.
“Nigeria, maybe one day God go open una brain and una go see wetin normal people dey see,” Fayose said.

Safety Of Supporters During Campaigns
The incident has drawn attention to road safety and emergency preparedness during political mobilisation, particularly when supporters travel in large groups to rallies and other campaign events.
While campaign vehicles are often used to transport supporters and facilitate political activities, access to first aid, ambulance services and highway rescue teams can be critical when road crashes occur.
Fayose’s comments centred on the need for political organisations to place greater emphasis on the welfare of their supporters rather than focusing solely on campaign logistics.
The City Boy Movement is associated with mobilisation efforts in support of President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election.
The development has renewed attention on the responsibilities of political groups to consider the safety of supporters who participate in their activities.
