Spain’s Alejandro Davidovich Fokina captured the first ATP title of his career after defeating American Ethan Quinn 7-6(4), 6-3 in the final of the Mallorca Championships on Saturday.
Roared on by the home crowd in the Wimbledon warm-up event, the world No. 25 produced a composed display to secure the breakthrough victory in one hour and 43 minutes.
The triumph ended a frustrating run in ATP finals for the 27-year-old, who had lost his previous five championship matches, including four in 2025.
It was also his first meeting with the 63rd-ranked Quinn.

The Mallorca title is expected to lift Davidovich Fokina to a career-high world No. 23 when the ATP rankings are updated on Monday, June 29, the opening day of Wimbledon.
Despite falling short in the final, Quinn will also celebrate a milestone as the 22-year-old American is projected to rise to a career-best ranking of world No. 47.
Both players now turn their attention to Wimbledon, where Davidovich Fokina will begin his campaign against
Argentina’s Juan Manuel Cerundolo, while Quinn is set to face another Argentine, Marco Trungelliti, in the opening round.
