Nigerian businessman Olakunle Churchill has dismissed claims that he is divorced from his partner, Roseline Meurer, describing the reports as false and misleading.
In a statement shared via social media, Churchill insisted that no legal marriage ever existed between them, noting that their relationship did not involve a church or court wedding.
“There was no church wedding and no court wedding. What took place was an introduction. Therefore, the idea of a ‘divorce’ is baseless,” he said.
He also questioned the authenticity of a circulating court document allegedly tied to the claims, stating that he was never formally served any legal papers, an essential requirement in any legitimate legal process.
Beyond the controversy, Churchill addressed his past relationship with Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh, with whom he shares a son. According to him, both parties have now reconciled and chosen to move forward peacefully.
“We have both chosen to forgive each other,” he stated, adding that their past issues were personal and should have remained private.
Churchill further pushed back against narratives portraying Meurer as having played a major role during his past disputes, saying such claims have been exaggerated.
