The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom State has inaugurated a 10-member Local Organising Committee (LOC) to coordinate the party’s forthcoming primaries ahead of the general elections.
The committee is chaired by the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah, while Envoy Nsentip Akpabio will serve as Secretary.

The decision to constitute the committee followed resolutions reached during a stakeholders’ meeting held in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.
At the meeting, party leaders also passed a vote of confidence on Governor Umo Eno, applauding his inclusive leadership style and efforts toward maintaining political stability in the state.
Speaking on the outcome of the stakeholders’ summit, the APC State Publicity Secretary, Chief Patrick Edeke, praised Governor Eno for what he described as his visionary leadership, humility, and statesmanship.
Edeke noted that the governor’s style of governance had continued to attract goodwill across party lines while strengthening unity within both the APC and the state.
According to the party, the successful conduct of the stakeholders’ meeting reflected Governor Eno’s political maturity, unifying disposition, and commitment to the collective interests of the APC in Akwa Ibom.

The party also acknowledged the contributions of the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, describing him as a key pillar of the APC whose experience, influence, and continued support have remained critical to the party’s growth in both the state and the country.
Other members of the newly constituted committee include Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. KufreAbasi Edidem; Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Frank Archibong; Chief Executive Officer of HENSEK Engineering, Engr. Uwem Okoko; and Chairman of Urueffong-Oruko Local Government Area, Chief Uno Etim Uno.
Also appointed to the committee are Arc. Ubokutom Nya, Barr. Kemfon Neke, Obongawan Geraldine Etuk, and Hon. Owoidighe Ekpoattai.
