The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna, has announced the commencement of its 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening exercise for candidates seeking admission into its various academic programmes.
The screening exercise is open to applicants seeking admission into undergraduate degree programmes, National Diploma (ND), pre-Higher National Diploma (pre-HND), and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes offered by the institution.
According to the admission requirements released by the institution, candidates applying for degree programmes must have a minimum Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) score of 200, while ND applicants are required to have scored at least 160.
AFIT also stated that candidates seeking admission into its degree programmes must complete a change of institution process and select the institute as their first choice on or before July 3, 2026.
The available undergraduate programmes include, engineering courses such as aerospace engineering, automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics engineering, civil engineering, electrical/electronics engineering, Information and Communication Technology, and telecommunication engineering.
Other degree programmes listed by the institution are computer science, cyber security, physics, physics with electronics, chemistry, mathematics, statistics, accounting, business administration, economics, and inernational relations.
For ND programmes, applicants can choose from courses, including Aircraft Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Business Administration and Management, and Explosive Ordnance Technology, which is restricted to military personnel.

AFIT further revealed that Pre-HND and HND programmes are available in fields including Aircraft Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, and Explosives Ordnance Technology.
The admission application portal, according to the institute, opened on May 18, 2026, and will close on July 20, 2026.
Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000 for B.Sc/B.Eng and ND programmes, while Pre-HND and HND candidates will pay ₦10,000.
