The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) can now access and print their official original result slips, with the process designed to be completed in as little as two hours in many cases.
Key Highlights:
- Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has activated UTME result slip printing.
- Candidates can access slips via the JAMB e-Facility portal.
- The original slip is required for admission screening.
- Printing costs about ₦1,500–₦2,000.
- JAMB warned candidates to use only official channels.
This development comes after weeks of anticipation, as many candidates had only been able to check their scores via SMS while the full original result slip printing portal remained inactive. JAMB Spokesperson Dr. Fabian Benjamin had earlier urged patience, citing the need to conclude foreign examinations and the mop-up UTME for affected candidates before activating the feature.
According to JAMB officials, the original result slip — which includes the candidate’s passport photograph, detailed subject scores, total aggregate, registration details, and security features — is now accessible through the official e-Facility portal. Candidates are advised to log in at efacility.jamb.gov.ng using their registration details, make the required payment (typically around ₦1,500–₦2,000), and generate the document. Many approved CBT centres and accredited printing partners report that once payment and verification are processed, candidates can receive a ready-to-print slip within one to two hours, depending on portal traffic and queue volumes. This streamlined timeline addresses earlier frustrations where candidates faced delays or unavailability.

The original UTME result slip is a critical document for the 2026/2027 admission cycle. Unlike basic SMS notifications or provisional online score checks, the official printed slip serves as verifiable proof accepted by tertiary institutions during post-UTME screening and admission processing. JAMB has warned candidates against relying on unofficial or photocopied versions, emphasizing the use of only the secured original document.
“Candidates should ensure they print their slips from official channels to avoid any issues during admission,” a JAMB statement noted. The Board also cautioned against scams, urging students to use verified platforms and avoid third parties promising faster or cheaper services outside approved centres.
How to Print Your Original UTME Result Slip:
Visit the JAMB e-Facility portal (efacility.jamb.gov.ng) and log in with your JAMB registration number and password.
Navigate to the result slip section and make the necessary payment.
Generate and download the slip.
Print at least two copies for personal records and institutional submissions.
Candidates encountering issues are encouraged to visit accredited CBT centres for assistance. JAMB has assured that the portal will remain active for a reasonable period to allow all candidates to complete the process.
With admission processes set to ramp up following the recent release of mop-up exam results, this timely activation is expected to ease pressure on prospective students. JAMB reiterated its commitment to a transparent and efficient admission exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session. Candidates are advised to act promptly and monitor official JAMB channels for any further updates.
