The leadership of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Rivers State chapter, has declared Sunday, June 26, 2022, as ‘PVC Sunday’.
A statement issued Friday by the State Chairman of PFN, Bro. Minaibi Dagogo Jack, said the declaration followed a directive from the National Executive Council ( NEC) meeting of PFN held on Thursday, 16th June 2022, in Lagos.
Jack said that NEC amongst other resolutions at the meeting frowned at the continuous incidences of killings and kidnappings across the country and restated PFN’s committed stance for the interest of justice which explains its opposition against, Muslim- Muslim ticket for political parties towards the 2023 elections.
Accordingly, the statement maintained its stance of a Christian/ Muslim ticket which it said has been the stance of the umbrella body, CAN. Reeling out other resolutions at the NEC meeting, the state chairman said that NEC directed that: “That every member of the Church should show his/her PVC for counting before entering the church for service.
