The Delta State Police Command has rescued a 60-year-old kidnap victim and arrested 10 suspects in separate operations across the state.

The command also recovered a locally made firearm, suspected illicit drugs, a mobile phone and an ATM card during the operations.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday.
According to Edafe, police officers of the Agbor Police Division rescued the victim at Alisime Village on Friday, September 4.
The police officers, working with forest guards and local security personnel, mobilised to the area and engaged the kidnappers.
The victim was rescued unharmed, while the suspected kidnappers reportedly fled into the bush with possible gunshot injuries.
The police recovered a mobile phone and an ATM card from the scene and cordoned off the area as security personnel launched a search for the fleeing suspects.
In a separate operation later that day, police officers of the command’s Anti-Cult Unit in Ozoro, headquarters of Isoko North Local Government Area, raided a brothel in Abbi at about 9:30pm.
The operation followed intelligence that a suspect wanted in connection with an arson case in Owhelogbo Community was hiding at the location.
Ten suspects, comprising seven females and three males, were arrested during the raid.
The police said quantities of Tramadol, Swinol, Canadian Loud and substances suspected to be Indian hemp were recovered.
The suspects are currently undergoing profiling, while those found culpable will be prosecuted.

Meanwhile, police officers of the Oghara Police Division, alongside members of a civilian anti-cult group, recovered a locally made cut-to-size firearm after responding to a reported fight involving about eight persons along Ibori Road, Oghara.
The suspects reportedly fled after sighting the patrol team. During the escape, one of them, identified by the alias “Highest”, allegedly abandoned the firearm.
The weapon was recovered, while the police said efforts were ongoing to identify and apprehend the fleeing suspects.
The Delta State Commissioner of Police, Samuel Erale, commended the police officers and other security personnel involved in the operations.
Erale directed the operatives to intensify efforts to apprehend fleeing suspects and dismantle criminal hideouts across the state.
He assured residents that the command would sustain intelligence-led operations, raids on identified criminal locations and patrols across Delta State.
The commissioner also urged residents to remain vigilant and provide credible information that could help security agencies prevent and detect criminal activities.
