Senator Peter Onyelukachukwu Nwaoboshi Campaign Organization (SPONCO) has on his behalf congratulated Governor of Delta State, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, “for his Anti-Southern Nigeria Agenda role, which saw to his infamous emergence as the running mate to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who is now notorious for being a seasonal unsuccessful subscriber of the people’s mandate on the Ballot Boxes.”

This was contained in a press statement signed by the Director General of SPONCO, Evangelist Moses Kamanya. Kamanya compared Okowa to the proverbial ‘Abiku’ of the Yorubas, who is known for coming and coming again, as made famous by the great Writer, Poet and Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka in one of his excellent Poetic deliveries.

He stated: “At a time like this, when there exists a unanimous clamour all over the country, for a ‘Southerner’ to manage the affairs of the country, in the interest of equity and fairness; a clarion call that has been echoed and being re-echoed from the depth of our collective existence as a Nation; a development that supposedly motivated the coming together of the entire PDP Governors in Asaba, Delta State, with a view to pushing forth a common front with a one-voiced message to the Nation, via a Communique issued to back up their resolution to queue behind a Southern President in 2023 and hosted by the same Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, courtesy of wasted Delta State collective resources; he cunningly played along, only for him to lead them on with the Torchlight, and abandoning them to grope in the dark, by switching it off and diverting to another route.”

He noted that it is very easy to finger out the proverbial Wolf in the Sheep’s clothing as well as the Biblical ‘Judas’ who is synonymous with selling out those he claims he loves.

He added: “The ‘Ekwueme’ title in Anioma land, is not ascribed to those who speak one thing and go back to do another. It’s an honourable nomenclature and traditional investiture to men with the integrity of words and deeds. “Be that as it may, the voice of the common Nigerians, as well as the decisions of the power players to cede the Presidency to Southern Nigeria cannot be scuttled by the selfishness of one over-zealous Politician.

“The PDP has once again demonstrated and displayed their disregard and ingratitude to loyalty by shunning the calls and playing deaf ears to the yearnings of the Southern Nigerians, who have stood behind them all these while and this justifies the reason for their persistent struggle and position in the political rubble.”

Kamanya praised the All Progressives Congress (APC) while stressing that it remains the Party with the large heart, listening ears and vivid eyes to actualize unanimous Agenda for a Southerner in ‘Aso Rock’ in 2023.
