According to the RIVCHPP executive secretary, the milestone was made possible through sustained collaboration among government agencies, healthcare providers, development partners, and other key stakeholders.

Dr. Agala, however, stressed the need for all states to be given equitable support by donors to expand vulnerable population coverage while assuring that RIVCHPP would consolidate on the gains already recorded by intensifying enrollment campaigns.

She also assured that the agency would continue to strengthen strategic partnerships to ensure that more Rivers residents benefit from its affordable and quality healthcare services.

The review meeting also deliberated on key issues aimed at strengthening health insurance implementation across the federation.

The quarterly review meeting was attended by chief executive officers and executive secretaries of state social health insurance agencies from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the leadership of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), as well as other stakeholders in the health insurance sector.
