Revelation Micro Finance Bank, based in Ughelli, Delta State, has said it was going to mark its first anniversary with a raffle draw to reward loyal customers.

The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the bank, Mr Okhimamhe Patrick disclosed this in a chat with Journalists at his office, noting that the bank has broken even on all fronts since kicking off a year ago.

He described the financial institution as a unique brand that has leveraged technology and innovation to carve a niche for itself in the financial sector.

While reeling out the achievements and contributions of the bank to the economy of the local government, the state and the nation, he said, they have employed over 30 direct employees that have created great multiplayer effects in the labour market and local economy.

He said, “The most important thing in business is knowing what you want to do and understanding the terrain, especially having the right people to work with you; you will do well. So it has been a wonderful experience, wonderful people and we are good.

“If you look at what we have done here in Revelation Micro Finance Bank, we will say we have done fantastically well. People don’t see us as new; they see us as people who have been around for over ten years; they see the structure, and they marvel. We broke even in two months, which is unusual. It is the confidence that they have in us, and the quality of staff that we have that is propelling us, and we are leveraging on technology.

“So we did not just come to say we want to work; we started with ATMs, we started with our ATM card, we did not partner with anybody to say, please help us, let us co-brand, no. If you go around, you will see that most microfinance banks are co-branding because there is a high cost of investment in that line, but that is what we want to do; that is where we want to go, we have our mobile application, and we can do transaction seamlessly, so the experience is fantastic.

“We know there are ups and downs but because we are used to the terrain, because we understand what we are going into, when we see them, we conquer them. So many of the issues are not new to us, but the truth is that when you bring in the right people, without sentiments, people who can handle your business, you’ll fly, but if you put sentiments into it, you may not go anywhere. Revelation as a bank is built on that kind of arrangement to ensure that nothing is left undone.”

Speaking further, he disclosed that the bank was working towards collaborating with both the Federal and sub-national governments to improve the lives of the people through various loan and empowerment schemes.

While saying that the bank was a child of destiny, he observed that its success could be tied to its board boasts of reputable business and banking experts, pointing out that its Chairman, Engr. Frank Esemudje was a renowned businessman and banker with many years of experience and achievements.
