Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will face a partial stand closure at the Parc des Princes when they host Toulouse on November 22, following sanctions for homophobic chants heard during a recent match against Strasbourg.
The French Professional Football League’s (LFP) disciplinary committee ruled on Wednesday that PSG’s Auteuil stand will be partially closed for one match, with the penalty taking effect from November 5. This decision comes after an investigation into the chanting, which was widely condemned by the LFP and French Sports Minister Gil Averous. Last week, Averous warned that Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 matches may face suspensions or halts if similar incidents recur.
