Speaking during a meeting with the leadership of the Nigerian Institute of Architects International Integrated Research for Development Conference Programmes (NIA IINFRADCO) in Abuja, Danjuma said achieving a resilient and competitive economy requires purposeful partnerships that leverage professional expertise, innovation, and institutional capacity.
He noted that professional bodies play a critical role in policy development, human capital advancement, innovation, and infrastructure delivery, all of which are essential to national development.
According to him, NIA IINFRADCO’s focus on research, capacity building, and professional excellence aligns with the Federal Government’s efforts to diversify the economy, enhance productivity, and promote inclusive growth.
The Permanent Secretary reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to engaging institutions whose programmes provide practical solutions to the country’s development challenges.
He urged the Institute to sustain its commitment to innovation and professional development while strengthening collaboration with government and other stakeholders to unlock opportunities for investment, job creation, enterprise development, and sustainable infrastructure.

Earlier, the Chairman of NIA IINFRADCO, Arc. M. B. Bello, said the Institute remains committed to advancing professional excellence through research, executive education, consultancy, and innovation.
He explained that the Institute seeks to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and professional practice while equipping architects and other built environment professionals with skills required to meet evolving industry demands.
