The Nigerian Volleyball Federation (NVBF) is set for another high-stakes national volleyball showdown, with the spotlight turning to beach volleyball action in Kaduna, as it officially released the list of teams confirmed for the 2026 National Beach Volleyball (Star/Open) Tour, a key fixture in the ongoing national volleyball premier league season.

The federation disclosed that the championship, sponsored under the 3rd Comptroller-General of Customs/EYEXCEL partnership, will run from June 13 to June 26, 2026, with the first phase initially billed for the Moshood Abiola National Stadium Package B, Abuja. Matches are expected to be played across the indoor sports hall and outdoor courts, setting the stage for intense competition among participating clubs.

According to the NVBF on Saturday, the tournament—central to its national beach volleyball development agenda—will feature teams competing in both the Star and Open categories across men’s and women’s divisions.

Officials say the tournament is expected to further strengthen grassroots beach volleyball development across Nigeria, while also providing a platform for emerging athletes to showcase their talent, gain competitive experience, and improve their rankings ahead of future continental engagements.

The federation added that logistics and venue preparations remain in advanced stages as anticipation builds ahead of the opening matches of the competition.
