The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) has announced a 14-man squad for the 2026 African Nations Cup Zone 3 qualifiers, scheduled to take place in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, from July 13 to 19.
The selected players will represent Nigeria in the regional qualifying tournament as they seek to secure a place at the 2026 CAVB African Nations Cup.
According to the federation in a statement released on Sunday, the players earned their call-ups through impressive performances, commitment and discipline, and are expected to proudly represent the country in the green and white colours.
The squad comprises Jaiyeola Abdul Quadri, Vincent Mathias, Moral Jibril, Tiamiyu Ismail, Hassan Abednego, Kazeem Mutiu, Ibe Bruno, Ozokoye Pascal, Ogunshina Obayemi, Emmanuel Udah, Anele Timothy, Ezeofor Amstrong, Oforah Izuchukwu and Adeniyi Favour.

The team will be led by Head Coach Taiwo Oladipupo, assisted by Yohanna Twevini and Jonah Adamu.
The NVBF congratulated both the players and members of the technical crew on their selection, expressing confidence in the team’s ability to make Nigeria proud at the competition.
The federation described the athletes as worthy ambassadors of Nigerian volleyball, noting that their dedication, resilience and fighting spirit reflect the country’s ambition to return to the continental stage.
Nigeria will compete against other Zone 3 nations in Abidjan, with qualification for the 2026 CAVB African Nations Cup at stake.
The federation also called on Nigerians to rally behind the team as they begin their quest for continental qualification and further success for Nigerian volleyball.
