The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) has announced June 12, 2026, as the deadline for the submission of Technical and Commercial Bids by prequalified applicants participating in the 2025 Licensing Round.

The commission made the announcement in a public notice issued on Tuesday, urging all qualified bidders to complete and submit their applications before the stipulated deadline.

According to the notice, the submission window for Technical and Commercial Bids will officially close on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. West African Time (WAT).

The commission stated that the deadline is in line with the provisions and requirements outlined in the 2025 Licensing Round Guidelines.

NUPRC urged all prequalified applicants to ensure strict compliance with the stipulated procedures and timelines to avoid disqualification from the competitive bidding process.

The 2025 Licensing Round forms part of the Federal Government’s efforts to attract investment into Nigeria’s upstream petroleum sector, increase exploration activities, and unlock the country’s vast hydrocarbon resources.

Industry stakeholders are expected to closely monitor the outcome of the licensing exercise, which is aimed at expanding participation in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry while enhancing transparency and competitiveness in the allocation of petroleum assets.

The commission advised interested parties seeking additional information on the process to visit the official licensing round portal for detailed guidelines and updates.

The notice was signed by the management of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission.
