The Nigerian entertainment industry has been thrown into mourning following reports that popular Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo has died at the age of 40.

News of the actor’s alleged death surfaced on Tuesday evening, sparking shock and emotional reactions across social media platforms.

Several of his colleagues in the movie industry publicly expressed grief over the development. Actress Funke Akindele shared a brief but emotional tribute on Instagram, writing, “Hmmmmmm. Rest in peace, Alex.”
