The founder of Solid Rock Kingdom Church Apostle Dr John Okoriko has said that Nigerians who keep millions of naira in their homes while the poor masses wallop in abject poverty are a generation of vipers.

Speaking in Uyo Akwa Ibom state capital on Sunday during the monthly Interactive Service on the theme: “Sheep Among Vipers ” Okoriko disclosed that the money and other wealth accumulated by such Nigerians will later turn out to kill them.

Okoriko who read from Matthew 23:33, Matthew 12: 34 and Matthew 3:7 respectively where Jesus described the Jews as a generation of vipers who fled from the wrath of God explained the viper as a dangerous snake who died after hatching the eggs in their belly adding that what greedy Nigerians stored for themselves at the expense of the masses will destroy them.

” The viper symbolizes people who posed as good men just to harm others. Human beings have been wild from the beginning constituting danger to others.

” The vipers swallow up other animals to feed themselves. The vipers could not hide or escape from harm after swallowing their prey .”

Okoriko who was fielding questions from online callers disclosed that many people become rich when others die.

” Today kidnappers, armed robbers, ritualists and bandits kill others like the viper and become rich or succeed in their life endeavours.

” The money they stark in their houses will attract armed robbers, kidnappers, bandits and even sickness that will destroy them ”

Okoriko maintained that the quest to acquire wealth, position and power causes war and death in some cases

The man of God who does not believe in the existence of Satan stated that the calamities that befall man are due to foolishness, not demon, devil or Satan as widely speculated adding that anybody proving stubborn to the word of God will die like a fool.

He described believers in Christ as Sheep while Christ is the shepherd that will provide security to the flock in times of adversity.

” The Jews killed John the Baptist to promote their religion because he never preached their religion and when Jesus called them vipers, they crucified him

” When John the Baptist emphasized that the Jews must show fruits of repentance, he was killed

” Nigerians are like vipers accumulating wealth in different currencies to the detriment of the poor masses,” he said.
