The Chairman Topfaith University, Mkpatak in Akwa Ibom state Dr Emmanuel Abraham has said that students in Nigeria must acquire the necessary skills needed to succeed in the world’s 21st century education system.
Delivering a motivational talk on the theme” 21st Century Education Skills And Career Choices during the annual education Fair for selected private secondary schools in Akwa Ibom last weekend, Abraham said Nigerian students must stay abreast of recent trends in the world and navigate through the 21st century.
” You will live to see the end of the 21st century but how will you navigate through this period using your acquired skills in education?”
Abraham listed Deep knowledge, aptitude, capabilities, talents and learning that enable individuals to effectively meet the challenges and opportunities of today’s world in any aspect of life.
” These are critical elements governing life and this can be merged into knowledge, Attitude, Skills and Habits
“21st-century skills control character, personality, deep or critical thinking, creativity collaboration -teamwork/team spirit and communication ”
Abraham who is the founder of Topfaith University explained that the Education Fair is organized in the institution as part of the matriculation ceremony where senior secondary school students are encouraged and motivated to aspire in their educational career.

He noted that the university system is an assembly of the whole world for scholarship adding that the students needed to be developed to face all manners of persons from diverse tribes, races and religions.
He advised them to inculcate what he described as adversity quotients to have the stability to pursue their passion and vision in life no matter the circumstances surrounding them.
” Develop the habit to think critically, be responsible and self-reliant. Ensure to keep it simple and short and learn to manage your newfound freedom in any university you will find yourselves in future.
“Every goal set in life must be specific, measurable, relevant and time-bound to achieve more in the 21st century,” he said.
