The National Democratic Party (NDP) candidate for the Ughelli North Constituency II seat in the Delta State House of Assembly, Mr. Umukoro Innocent, has embarked on a consultation tour with party leaders and members in the constituency, beginning with a meeting with the Ughelli North Local Government executive committee of the party.
The visit, according to the candidate, forms part of efforts to strengthen collaboration within the party and build a united front ahead of the forthcoming election.
Speaking during the engagement, Umukoro reiterated his resolve to provide responsive and effective representation if elected, pledging to pursue policies and programmes that would promote development, create opportunities for young people and women, and address the needs of communities across the constituency.

He stressed that his campaign would remain people-driven and based on continuous consultation with stakeholders, assuring party members that their contributions would shape his legislative agenda.
The consultation also took him to Agbarho Ward I and Agbarho Ward II, where he met with party executives and supporters, urging them to remain steadfast and intensify grassroots mobilisation for the growth of the NDP.
Responding, the Chairman of the National Democratic Party in Ughelli North Local Government Area, Ovie Akposheri, described the consultation as a positive step towards strengthening the party’s structure.
Akposheri urged members to remain united and committed to the party’s vision, expressing confidence that collective efforts and sustained grassroots engagement would enhance the NDP’s chances in the constituency.
