Wilfred Ndidi’s impressive goal-scoring streak for Leicester City continued as they dominated Southampton 4-1, securing the top spot in the Championship. Despite almost leaving the club on transfer deadline day, Ndidi earned a starting position under manager Enzo Maresca for their trip to face Southampton on the South Coast.
The Foxes wasted no time, with Jamie Vardy netting just 21 seconds into the match with a trademark finish from inside the box. In the 18th minute, Kasey McAteer doubled their lead with his third league goal for Leicester.
Southampton managed to pull one back through Samuel Edozie seven minutes later. However, in first-half added time, Ndidi displayed his brilliance, receiving the ball from Stephy Mavididi inside the box, executing a clever feint with his left foot, and calmly slotting the ball into the net for his third goal of the season.

Notably, Kelechi Iheanacho made a cameo appearance off the bench for Leicester, replacing Vardy in the 84th minute, while Joe Aribo also came off the bench for Southampton, substituting Che Adams after 78 minutes.
