In a thrilling Premier League match on Sunday, Liverpool manager Arne Slot emphasized the significance of “quality players” like Mohamed Salah, who delivered a late equalizer to secure a 2-2 draw against Arsenal. Salah, Egypt’s international star, proved his importance once again, showcasing his knack for stepping up in crucial moments.
Salah, who hinted last month at a possible departure from Liverpool after this season, continues to demonstrate his value. He also scored in last weekend’s 2-1 win over Chelsea and netted the decisive penalty in Liverpool’s victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers.
“I think that’s one of the hallmarks of top players: they’re always available and show up in the big games,” Slot said. “For big clubs like Liverpool and Arsenal, having players of Salah’s quality is essential. Without them, it becomes much harder to get the results we need.”

Currently tied with Robbie Fowler as Liverpool’s eighth-highest goalscorer of all time with 163 goals, Salah has already netted six goals this season and was instrumental in five of Liverpool’s seven league wins.
“It’s crucial to have players who can make the difference, and today Mo did just that offensively,” Slot added.
With 22 points from nine matches, Liverpool trails only Manchester City by one point in the league standings. Slot’s squad is set to face Brighton & Hove Albion twice this week—first in the League Cup on Wednesday and again in the Premier League at Anfield on Saturday.
