Real Madrid defeated Juventus 2-0 to end their preseason tour on a winning note at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California.

Los Blancos got the first goal from its prolific goal poacher Karim Benzema in a 19-minute spot-kick and a second-half strike by Marco Asensio to hand the Old Ladies their first defeat in their US preseason tour.

Juventus started their preseason tour against Guadalajara on a winning streak after they were surmounted by Inter Milan last season in the Coppa Italia final.

They went on to snap an equaliser conservatively through Moise Kean’s brace against Barcelona in the Cotton Bowl Stadium, Dallas, Texas.

However, the clash with the UEFA Champions League winners was a different scenario as they were outclassed to concede their first preseason defeat.

While for Los Blancos, it was a reignition of their last season’s prowess after starting the preseason tour on a losing note to Barcelona at the Allegiant Stadium last week’s Sunday.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti’s side after conceding a 1-0 loss to the Catalans failed to preserve their 2-1 lead against Club America following Benzema’s leveller of Henry Martin’s opener and Eden Hazard’s penalty strike.

Remarkably, Madrid which is scheduled for a UEFA Super Cup clash with Europa champions Eintracht Frankfurt on August 10 hopes to harp on positives from the Juventus victory to boost their success against the German side.
