Apostle John Okoriko, founder of Solid Rock Kingdom Church, has emphasized that love is the ultimate solution to reducing conflicts and wars across the globe. He argued that hatred, which often leads to strife between Christians and non-Christians, as well as wars among nations, can only be countered by the power of love.
During the church’s monthly Interactive Service for September, themed “In Tune With Divine Nature,” Apostle Okoriko delved into the concept of divine nature, defining it as the true essence of God’s character. He explained that while God possesses attributes like ears, eyes, and hands, similar to humans, His divine nature is rooted in love—a love that transcends physical features and emotions.
Quoting from John 3:16, Apostle Okoriko highlighted that God’s essence is love, while human nature is rooted in hatred. He pointed out that this inherent hatred in mankind is the reason for many of the world’s conflicts and challenges.
In a thought-provoking response to questions from online participants, Apostle Okoriko challenged the common belief that Satan is the opposite of God. Instead, he asserted that man, with his nature of hatred and flesh, stands in opposition to God, who is spirit and love.
“Human nature is essentially hateful. The opposite of God is not Satan, but man,” he declared. “While Christians often perceive Satan as a spirit being, the real struggle is not between man and spirit, but between man and his own fleshly nature.”

Apostle Okoriko further explained that hatred is not confined to religious circles but is a pervasive force across all sectors of human life. He observed that it is the root cause of misunderstandings, conflicts, and wars among nations.
Drawing from historical events, he noted that the rejection of Jesus Christ by the Israelites led to prophetic consequences that continue to affect the Jewish people today. He urged Christians to respond to hate with love as a means of protecting themselves from harm and aligning with God’s will.
“Love is the strongest virtue and force in the world,” Apostle Okoriko affirmed. “When you show love, don’t expect recognition—do it because it’s the essence of being in tune with God.”
He also warned that lust for food, sex, power, and money often fuels enmity among people, leading to tribal wars and other conflicts. Apostle Okoriko urged Nigerians to embrace love and unity to prevent unnecessary wars and division within the country.
“The world is overwhelmed by hate, even within churches,” he lamented. “Wherever there is man, there is hate. But love is the answer.” Okoriko added.
