In a significant move to empower Nigerian youths, Impact Beyond School Wall (IBSW) has made remarkable strides in Akwa Ibom State. The organization has successfully trained over 200 teenage boys and provided essential sanitary wares to more than 2,000 girls across secondary schools in the state.
During a recent menstrual hygiene campaign titled “Pad-A-Girl Project,” the Creative Director of IBSW, Emem Eno, highlighted the organization’s dedication to improving the lives of young Nigerians. Over 2,000 girls received vital education on menstrual hygiene, a critical aspect of the organization’s outreach over the past two years.
Eno further outlined the organization’s other impactful initiatives, including the “Food for Hunger Relief Project,” which provided food supplies to over 50 impoverished families and 30 street children during the last Christmas season. This effort ensured that the beneficiaries did not go hungry during the festive period.
Another notable project under IBSW’s banner is the “Project 100 Girls,” where 100 girls received training in technology, and 20 of them were awarded startup packs and grants to kickstart their ventures.

Recognizing the importance of gender balance, Eno mentioned that IBSW has also extended its training to boys. The “Boy Child Matters Conference” was the first of its kind in Akwa Ibom State, drawing over 400 boys for a life skills mentorship and mental health capacity-building program. So far, 300 girls have benefited from similar initiatives.
The organization’s Youth Empowerment Conference further underscores its commitment to nurturing young talents. This program focused on capacity building and business support for young, innovative entrepreneurs. Ten standout participants received business grants to propel their ventures forward.
IBSW’s continuous efforts are paving the way for a brighter future for Nigerian youths, empowering both girls and boys to realize their full potential.
