The widower of late gospel singer Kefee, Teddy Don-Momoh has suffered another devastating loss following the death of his wife, Lara Kudayisi Don-Momoh, just weeks after the couple welcomed their first child together.

Lara’s family announced her death on Monday through a statement shared on her official Instagram page, revealing that she died peacefully after a brief illness.
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, Lara Kudayisi Don-Momoh.
“After a brief illness, Coach Lara passed away peacefully,” the family stated.
The announcement comes shortly after Lara and Teddy celebrated the arrival of their first child together, a development that had attracted congratulatory messages from their loved ones and well-wishers.
The family appealed to the public to respect their privacy as they come to terms with the loss, while also asking for prayers for Lara and those mourning her.
“During this deeply painful time, we humbly ask for privacy and prayers for the peaceful repose of her soul, and for all who mourn this immeasurable loss,” the statement added.
According to the family, details of Lara’s funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.
“Further details regarding the funeral arrangements and other family matters will be communicated in due course,” they said.

Teddy Don-Momoh was previously married to gospel singer Kefee, whose real name was Kefee Obareki Don-Momoh.
Kefee died in June 2014 after suffering from a lung-related illness in the United States. Her death came as a major shock to Nigeria’s gospel music community and her numerous fans.
More than a decade after Kefee’s death, Teddy’s latest loss has once again left him grieving, this time following the death of his wife shortly after they welcomed their first child together.
Lara’s death has since prompted an outpouring of condolences from friends, associates and well-wishers, as the family begins to mourn the mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend they described as deeply beloved.
