Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas Ewomazino, Delta South representative at the upper chamber of the National Assembly has commended President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for selecting the former National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Executive Director (Business Development), Nigeria Export-Import Bank, Hon Stella Erhuvwuoghene Okotete as one of the 28-man nominees for a Ministerial appointment.
The Delta South senator said the President is desirous of redefining the fortunes of the country and has spotted men and women of impeccable character that possess the requisite skills and wherewithal to complement his effort to build a stronger Nigeria economy.
The Delta South senator in a statement on Thursday, July 27, 2023, after plenary where the names of the ministerial nominees were read by the Senate President, His Excellency, Senator Godswill Akpabio, noted that the Delta State nominee has shown capacity and displayed competence in all given assignments, state and national, and have not doubt she will make Deltans and Nigerians proud in her new role.
“Indeed, your performance as the Executive Director (Business Development) Nigeria Export-Import (NEXIM) Bank has caught the admiration of our President who is keen on bringing in capable hands on board to pilot the affairs of our dear nation.

“Also, our President is astonished by your unalloyed loyalty to the genuine course of the party, your relentless effort in bolstering its structure from the ward, state to the national hierarchy and your commitment to assigned tasks, where you performed exceptionally. These and more innate and charismatic qualities are attestations that you will make Deltans proud in your new role.
“I am confident and do not doubt your capacity to complement the effort of our President in fulfilling his campaign promises to Nigerians by building a stronger Nigeria economy,” Senator Joel-Onowakpo said.
The Delta South senator, having congratulated Hon Okotete, describing her as “one of the finest progressives”, reiterated that her nomination is well-deserved.
